Lower Seletar Reservoir

These pictures were taken at Lower Seletar Reservoir (near Khatib MRT), which is literally across the road from our present temporary place (Orchid Park Condo). It was a leisurely 5 mins walk away, & also our 1st time there. Imagine, we've been staying at Yishun for the past few years & never once came here! hehe...
All of us were relaxed after a short aftn nap this Sunday afternoon. It was around 6:30pm... so it was still pretty bright, but not hot anymore. The perfect time for a stroll with the family!
The park is small compared to the other reservoirs I've been to in Singapore. Namely Upper Pierce, & MacRitchie.
There were several people fishing along the banks & on the jetty. We also spotted a couple having some snacks & enjoying red wine while sitting on the rocks. Fortunately I remembered to bring some snacks for the kids, ;)

All of a sudden, I wish we had packed McDonald's burgers, nuggets & french fries! lol... it'll be so nice to enjoy those "snacks" sitting on the wooden planks of the jetty, enjoying the peace & quiet of our surrounding, yet just a stone's throw away from "home".

Natalie enjoying her Swiss Roll, chewing it happily (not making faces) ^^

Hans don't like to have his pictures taken & always makes a big fuss if he catches me focusing the camera on him! hehe...

Natalie is the complete opposite, & will readily "cheeeeeeese" for you! :D

Myself & Hubby, on the eve of our 7th wedding anniversary *yay*

Strolling back home, we decided to have dinner at MacDonald's ;) thanks to the "inspiration" at the jetty ^^

We also reflected on how blessed we are, to be able to enjoy such leisurely walk on a Sunday evening, on a quiet yet spacious road that's clean & close to nature (in a busy & hectic Singapore).

Not worrying about our safety on the road (this coming from my husband who grew up in Indonesia) strolling with 2 young kids in tow.

Counting our blessings, on how God has been faithful to meet all our needs in the months leading to our sale/purchase of flat, & present transition period while awaiting the completion of our purchase.

During the trial, we don't understand why things didnt went as smoothly as we'd wanted it to be. But now that God has brought us through, we can look back & see how awesome & wonderful is His plan for us. He really knew our every needs, even better than ourselves! It couldn't have been arranged any better, had we have it our own way!

The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is thy faithfulness. "The LORD is my portion," says my soul, "therefore I will hope in him." Lamentations 3:22-24

  3. You have a lovely family. Enjoyed the photos very much and scenes of the water front. Most of the blessings from God seem to always be the very simple things.
